Dear all

In connection with the Rectorate’s latest newsletter and, more specifically, the news regarding AU’s participation in the climate awareness initiative, Earth Hour, all lights at AU’s buildings will be switched off on Saturday 27 March in the period from 20.30-21.30PM.

Technically this requires that the Faculty in effect closes its buildings for all personnel during this one hour, in order to ensure that no one triggers the light sensors in the halls of the buildings and thus undermines our commitment to the climate awareness.  We therefore hope and plea that all our employees will respect this commitment and adhere to it in the given period on Saturday.

Når man kun slukker for lyset i en enkelt time, så får det altså ikke kulkraftværket til at skrue ned for strømmen, så jeg håber, at alle udnytter chancen for at få opladet computer, telefon og kamera. Og så virker det altså ualmindeligt ironisk, at man ikke kan være i bygningen da der så er fare for at tænde lyset med vores miljøbevidste sensorer. Det bliver alt, alt, alt for hysterisk. Er den mail satirisk ment? Det håber jeg.
